Confession Series: Introduction

I've decided that once a week I will create a post dedicated to the confessions that every wife and mom is thinking but doesn't want to admit.

This series can be dedicated to husbands, children, alcohol, pregnancy, bathroom privacy and the list goes on.

As wives, mothers, parents, we know there are thoughts that pass through our mind that our single, carefree self would've never imagined we would have in a million years.

So I will lay it out there. The good, the bad, the ugly, the funny, the disgusting, the heartwarming. I am not one to hold back. You will learn that quickly.

Be prepared.

A day in the life.

A typical day for me looks something like this:

5:30am (Ok. Ok. 6:07am after hitting my "Snooze" button repeatedly)  - Wake up

6:07am - Wander into the kitchen to get necessity for daily function.... coffee.

6:07-6:45am - Watch news. Drink coffee. Throw on real clothes, meaning leggings and a t-shirt. Attempt to do hair & makeup but decide against it.

6:45am - Wake up my daughter by giving morning kisses.

6:45-7:15am - Make breakfast for girl. Drink cold coffee. Get clothes ready for girl. Make snack for school. Throw stuff in backpack.

7:15am-7:30am - Get girl dressed and ready to leave.

7:30-7:45am - Wait for bus. Get girl on bus.

7:45am-12:30pm - On call for tornado toddler.

12:30-3:00pm - Naptime for toddler. Study for classes. Finish up assignments.

3:30pm - Get toddler up from nap. Get girl from bus stop.

3:30-5:30pm - Entertain kids. Start dinner.

5:30pm - Head to evening classes.

9:00pm - Return from evening classes.

9-11pm - Spend time with neglected husband.

11:15pm - Pillow talk and bed. Dream about doing it all over again.

This is me.

Hi. My name is Jessica. I usually go by Jess to the fortunate adults that I get to talk to every now and then. Normally though, I am "Mommy". Or "Mom". Or "Mama". And sometimes even "Bae" if my two-year old is being snarky.

I chose this blog with this title because  I feel as though us moms have so much more to talk about then just being... moms. While 97% of the time we are just talking about our children and 2% of the time we are talking about when is the appropriate time to start drinking because of our children, the other 1% we want to be talking about things like fashion, hypothetical vacations, dreams, Robert Downey Jr. and so much more! We have more to say!

So here they are... all confessions of this stay-at-home mom.
